What's for Dinner Tonight (Series 3)

Day 3: Dinner for 1, Asparagus and baby carrots with fresh scallop

No kidding! The food was so good I gobbled it up and forgot to take a picture of it.

Step 1: Pour oil into frying pan and apply low heat.

Step 2: Place fresh clams on frying pan and allow it to heat slowly.

Step 3: Boil a pot of carrots and asparagus simultaneously.

Step 4: When carrots start to turn soft, transfer contents of pot into frying pan.

Step 5: Add salt, pepper, soy sauce, and some cut mushrooms into the frying pan.

Step 6: Stir-fry till mushrooms are cooked. (Contents of pot would be cooked too!)

Step 7: Serve! (erm...wanton mee was a disaster, anybody care to teach me how to cook it?)

What's for Dinner Tonight (Series 2)

Day 2: Dinner for 1, Baked Clams

Buying too much can be a problem in the states, everything is sold in bulk here.
Hence, creative imaginations must be put to good use to satisfy this finicky palate of mine.

Step 1: Place thawed clams on aluminium foil-wrapped tray.

Step 2: Preheat oven to 450 deg. F before placing the clams in for 20mins.

Step 3: Take baked clams out of oven and place thin slices of cheese into clams. (Note: Wait for clam shells to open up if they haven't already.) Bake for another 5 mins at a lower heat.

Step 4: Take out baked clams from the oven. Cheese should be melted.

Step 5: Enjoy!!

A series of 5 blogs to keep you readers updated of what a (desperate) man can cook up when he gets sick of American food.

Day 1: Dinner for 1, Clam Chowder with REAL CLAMS

Step 1: Fully immerse clams in a pot of water.

Step 2: Boil for 10 minutes. Sprinkle some salt in between.
Step 3: Clam shells should open up when thoroughly cooked.

Step 4: Add some sauce onto plate. Otherwise, dig out clams and put into clam chowder soup* (not shown here).

Step 5: Put dental floss beside clam to show readers how HUGE the clams are!

Step 6: ENJOY! =)

*Canned Clam Chowder Soup readily available in supermarkets. Just pour into pot and heat up.

After a long flight, the adventurous spirit came soon after a night's sleep.

Join US as we journey through Yosemite (pronounced yo-say-meh-tee)National Park for a fun-filled adventure.

Before that, I wish to apologise for the long hiatus in updating the blog.

The exams were truly a toil on my mind. Eccl 1:13 "And I gave myself to seek and search out by wisdom concerning all things that are done under heaven: this sore travail hath God given to the sons of man to be exercised therewith."

Much knowledge did fill my mind then, yet the more I studied the more I felt a lack of understanding and preparedness for the exams. "For in much wisdom is much grief: and he that increaseth knowledge increaseth sorrow." (Eccl 1:18)

After the exams, many things happened (in my mind) and thus led me back to this, where I can share with you my thoughts and many wonderful pix , which of course is still the main draw!! =p

This particular trip takes us on a thrilling adventure as we navigate the waterfalls,

mini-waterfalls,

rapids,

POWERFUL rapids,

gorges,

erm...I meant GORGES, not GORGEOUS!

HUGE mountains,

and ...tiny boulders

of the renowned national park.

This will be a 2-part series of a guide through the Yosemite National Park, this being part 1 of 2. In the next update, I will give you a blow-by-blow account of what we did at the park.

Picture Me In "All Over The World"... Yes that's what this blog really is about. I guess I should've changed the title to "Confessions of a Roving Soul?"

Pronunciation: \ˈwän-dər-ˌləst\

Function: noun

Etymology: German, from wandern to wander + Lust desire, pleasure

What it means: strong longing for or impulse toward wandering

Since it is a noun, I don't suppose to call myself the "wanderlust-er" but "the Wanderlust". Have you ever had the feeling when you've been everywhere you can go, seen everything you can see but still feel empty in your heart?

You walked the streets and climbed all the steps till there's no more place to cover...then when you think you've seen it all...you STILL wanna see more! Aaah...That my friend is wanderlusting!

This is my sin but thanks be to God for He has restored me to his bosom that I may be free to go wherever I want to go now, yet knowing that I'm ever under his watchful eyes. Lo! The wandering spirit is no more! Now I "walk circumspectly...Redeeming the time, because the days are evil." The days spent in vanity are days lost that could've been used for a good cause. Now is the time...TO REDEEM TIME!

For the time that I was a wanderer, I was to happy to leave God out of my thoughts and went awhoring after the world! Aaaaah....it was beautiful yet I felt sad because my heart was never contented. Such was the state of Solomon's heart (far from God) when he repented of his sin and penned the book of ECCLESIASTES or otherwise known as, The Preacher.
